Abby is a provisionally licensed clinical social worker, who is passionate about walking with individuals and couples on their path of self-discovery. As a therapist, Abby leads with empathy and deep curiosity, working to create an environment where clients can feel safe enough to show up exactly as they are. Abby’s therapeutic background has been in working with children, teens, and adults who have been impacted by interpersonal violence. As such, she brings a trauma-informed lens to her work, and is committed to helping her clients foster healthier coping, communication, and relational skills.

Abby takes a holistic, solution-focused, and systemic approach to psychotherapy, tailoring her interventions to each client’s unique needs and goals. Abby uses an attachment and brain-based lens to explore the underlying causes of clients’ problems, as well as to chart a path towards growth and change. She utilizes interventions from a variety of modalities including Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing.

  • I've lived in Richmond my whole life, I'm a Virgo, and I'm a fur-parent to a dachshund and a tuxedo cat. I love to travel whenever I can (I hit my 13th country in 2023!), and spend my free time reading, listening to podcasts, thrifting, crocheting, playing piano, or hanging out with friends and family. My favorite forms of self-care are to sing, spend time in/near water, or get some movement in through practicing yoga or going on nature walks.
